Jackey and Robbie turn 2!

Believe it or not, our boys are 2 years old! Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. 2 years already!

We had a GREAT birthday week. It was my Spring Break and I got to spend all week at home with the boys, AND we had summer-like weather. Couldn't ask for more  :)

Grandma Kathy visited us the weekend before the boys birthdayday. She came bearing balloons, making her the boys' favorite person in history!

Jakey was not shy above diving into his cupcakes!

Robbie managed to stay a bit cleaner... for a while.

On Wednesday, the boys' actual birthday, Bob took the day off. We started the day with a little gift opening -- presents from Grandma Jean and Grandpa Don, Robbie's Godmother Suzy, and mommy and daddy.
This (no-water) "fish tank" from Don and Jean was a favorite right away.

Robbie was SO excited about this book from Suzy.
Mommy and Daddy got the boys bikes for their 2nd birthday. Yes, really! They're these cool toddler bikes that don't have pedals, so kids learn to balance, supposedly making the transition to pedal bikes in a few years easy... we'll see!

Robbie takes his bike for a spin in the driveway.

Jakey was the first to prefer off-roading in the grass. Now both boys' favorite place to "ride" their bikes is down the hill in our backyard!
Grandpa Jack and Grandma Sara came to visit the weekend after the boys' birthday. They came bearing 4x4's... our boys are crazy-spoiled, but they're lovin' it!

We're not sure if the boys will ever touch their bikes again, now that they've realized the power of batteries at the push of a button!
On St. Patty's Day, we had a little birthday party for the boys. Here are the guys playing in the (deflated) bouncy castle with their friend Cooper.

Robbie, too!

Birthday morning (opening gifts)

Robbie steals Jakey's cupcake (pretty self-explanatory, although the actual video starts just after the actual theft)

Happy Birthday Song (First, Jakey learns to assert himself when it comes to keeping his cupcake. Then, the birthday song sung by mommy, daddy, and grandma Kathy)

Winter fun - inside and out!

Wow, March already. And winter just got here last week, when we got our first "real" snow of the season. Today, however, it was 54 degrees again, so maybe it's Spring already? At least we got the boys outside to do some wintery things while we had a chance...

Jakey LOVES being outside, as evidenced by this smile!

Robbie's ready to head down the hill.

The boys' first snowman. We spent all winter trying to get them to say "snowman", but they would only say "no" (snow without the "s"). But on the day they got to make their own real snowman, Robbie said it. It's SO funny. He says "snow, mon." Sounds like he's Jamaican!

Staring contest.

Some pretty fun videos...

So this game seems to consist of throwing coasters on the floor, and then running around them (while saying "around, around, around...")
"Around, around, around"

Bubble bath + blowing bubbles = good times. Don't ask why on this one occasion Jacob thought he could blow bubbles with his ear... we haven't figured that one out!

Here are the boys doing the actions (and "singing") to their favorite song. Some serious silliness here!
Boys sing "Wheels on the bus"

Another game mommy didn't understand: Slide table across the floor, while dragging a broom along.

This is a HAPPY Robbie!
Robbie sleds with Mommy

My favorite part of this one may be Jakey in the background, trudging up the hill and sitting down in his sled, ready to go!

If you turn up your speakers, you can hear him laugh hysterically all the way down.
